On mother's day you deserve every indulgence, so don't neglect your sexual side. If sex has become just one more item on your to-do list, consider these tips, which can help reinvigorate your sexuality.

1. Take care of mom first
You'll never feel like having sex if you're exhausted from childraising and housekeeping. Make sure your needs are being met: eat well, exercise, get sleep. Say no to self-sacrificing supermom and indulge yourself.

2. Use babysitters regularly
Babysitters are the key to any parent's sanity. They allow you to take time for yourself, without this you'll just end up resenting your kids and your partner--very anti-erotic. Relatives, friends and other parents are a good source of free babysitting if you can't afford paid sitters.

3. Plan for sex
You don't have the luxury of waiting around till the mood strikes, so plan for sex. Initially, parents find it hard to let go of the notion that spontaneous sex is superior, but most parents find they enjoy the anticipation of planned sex dates.

4. Be spontaneous
In addition to planning, also be open to drop everything spontaneous sex. When baby goes down for a nap, parents go down for play time.

5. Expand your definition of sex
If you think of sex as penis/vagina intercourse, you're limiting your experience of sex. Parenthood gives you a great opportunity to break out of your sexual routine and push the boundaries of what counts as "sexual." What you want is an intimate connection with your partner; it can be nothing more than a sensual massage, a bath for two, an erotic reading or a naughty email. Be creative.

6. Masturbate
Whether you're single or partnered, masturbation is the single best way to stay connected with your sexuality. It allows you to explore your body and mind with ease, and feels good to boot.

7. Be more like a kid
Our own children have a valuable lesson to teach us when it comes to sex: playfulness. Somewhere along the path to adulthood we trade in bruised knees for bruised egos, and appetite for adventure to a comfortable routine and unbridled enthusiasm for sensible restraint. But risk-taking, adventure and the messiness of sex are precisely the things that keep sex from getting boring. Play with a sex toy, give role-playing a whirl, or craft an erotic email and send it to your sweetie.

8. Teach privacy
To some degree, most adults fear being "caught in the act" by their kids. You can easily avoid this, or minimize the drama by doing two things; put a lock on your door and teach kids the concept of privacy. Kids need to learn about privacy anyway when they're exploring the boundaries of appropriate behavior, so explain that you and your partner need private time alone and don't want to be interrupted. If you are interrupted, don't get hysterical, just calmly ask your child to leave and then later explain that you were enjoying adult time together.

9. Communicate
Parenthood wreaks so much havoc on life as you know it that your ability to communicate with a partner is imperative not only to your sex life but to you success as parents. Make time to communicate, be an empathetic listener, compromise, and seek professional help if you need it.

10. Be a sexual role model
When kids see a happy, sexually fulfilled mom who conducts relationships consistent with her own values, they learn to embrace sexuality as natural and to form mature relationships of their own. Don't hide your sexuality. Talk to your kids about sex. Let them know that their sexuality is something to be respected, cherished and enjoyed.

About the Photographer:
If you asked Octavio 20 years ago if he knew he’d be living in the U.S. someday taking photos of beautiful girls his answer would be YES.  Born in the Philippines, his humble beginnings involve cutting out the most risqué photos from his mother’s fashion magazines and creating his own breed of style mags.  No wonder this guy’s got an eye for style and beauty.Through adventures in countries the likes of Argentina, Chile and Iran, Octavio finally settled in NYC where he worked in the music industry for twelve years.  Although his heart remained true to loud and fast music, he couldn’t get the image of those beautiful girls out of his mind.Sunshine, cool cars and of course, hot gals led Octavio to Los Angeles.  He sought to capture glamour through pin-up style photographs which he put together on his website Winkytiki.com.  Much to his delight, Octavio’s talent drew many naughty nymphs his way.  He soon started working as a photographer through the contacts he made through his models. His models include a plethora of beauties including Dita, Tera Patrick, Holly Madison and Masumi Max.  Octavio has also photographed Denmark’s up and coming band the “Horror Pops” along with other Los Angeles local bands.  You can check out Octavio’s pin-ups on his website Winkytiki.com along with featured portraits on hotrotcondoms.com. and GQ’s German on-line magazine at www.gq-magazin.de/gq/index.php.*Octavio’s unique but subtle sense of humor shows in his work.  By combining classic glamour techniques with contemporary styling, his photographs bring out the beauty of his subjects.  Being a fan of the works of the classic pin-up photographers like Peter Gowland, Bruno Bernard (Bernard of Hollywood) and the camera club shooters of the 1950’s, Octavio is able to maintain a sense of timelessness in his work but at the same time keeping up with the esthetics of contemporary times. You can contact Octavio at 323-644-2689 or through his website at octavio@winkytiki.com
