General Background:

Born and raised in the lovely seaport of Dublin, I completed Trinity College with a degree in history, but soon discovered that most of the Dublin taxi drivers also have history degrees, so went into the family business of auto parts!  I really enjoy this work after all.  Nice and physical.  Lots of personal contact with auto mechanics all over the city, and lots of flexibility if I want to take some time off for holidays.  I have also developed a thriving website for auto parts mail order which has opened up a whole new world of interest for me - E-Commerce.

What I Look For In A Woman:

I've always been drawn to "brainy" lasses that wear glasses.  Must be the frustrated historian in me that seeks out academic types.  But, this does present a few problems as after a hard day of work, I tend to have a bit of grease under my fingernails, so it makes for interesting times at the pub trying to impress these types of gals. 

Hobbies:

My main passion is history.  Books, museums, city tours and films are the places I go to learn everything and anything about the past.  But, when not brushing up on my 19th century European lore, I'm always up for a good pub crawl and always have my set of spoons in pocket to join in with the band.


Favorite Experience:

When I was at Trinity College, I took part in a foreign history student exchange program and spent a semester at the "Sorbonne" in France.  What an amazing experience!  And, as a bonus, so many brainy French girls to have fun with!  Paris will always hold a special place in my heart (as will a cute Doctoral student called Gigi....;-)
