General Background:

Born and raised in the windy city of Chicago, I devoted a lot of my student life to intramural sports in High School and College.  After getting my masters degree in physical education, I got a great job at a local small college in the athletics department, a job that I still have today and totally LOVE!

What I Look For In A Woman:

The qualities I most appreciate in a woman are intelligence and a sense of adventure.  I've never been much into the "club scene" (I am a pretty lame dancer, sorry to say!), so I enjoy dating women that like to go to "interesting places" like water parks and county fairs out in the country.  Although it's usually a bit much to ask, I LOVE a woman that will go on fishing trips with me (and, I am ALWAYS a gentleman and offer to put the worms on the hook!).

Hobbies:

Aside from all kinds of sports, I have the sort of unusual hobby of wood carving and model-making.  When I was a kid, my grandfather taught me how to carve and paint little statues and toys and, to this day, I find it a very relaxing hobby with a nice permanent product of my efforts.  My collection now includes such "works of art" as a scale model of an Indian Birch Bark canoe and probably the ugliest duck decoy ever created....;-)


Favorite Experience:

When I was in college, one summer a group of my friends and I took the entire summer off for a backpacking trip around Europe.  It was a real adventure that included some rock climbing in the Alps, crazy days at some Bavarian summer beer festivals, and even a few days attending the World Cup soccer matches in Barcelona, Spain.  I met a lot of interesting people on that trip from different countries and think that sharing their cultures gave me a broader social view of things outside the good old USA.
