General Background:

I come from a HUGE family, 9 brothers and 2 sisters to be exact. Which always made my life at home "interesting", to say the least. We were all born in a small town just outside Ottawa, Ontario. We all shared rooms. In that respect the girls were lucky, 2 girls, 1 room. The boys, we were 3 to a room. Privacy was not part of our life. But I would not have given it up for anything. When I think back on it now, life at home was almost like army boot camp. Discipline or chaos, those were the choices and my parents chose discipline. I don't know how they did it, my mother did odd jobs, and took care of us and my Dad was middle management even though his true love was music, but somehow they managed to take care of us, gave us everything we needed and put us all through university. I feel blessed.

Don't laugh, I love stamp collecting, stamp collecting and playing the sax,

Favorite Experience:

One of my most memorable moments has to be bringing this girl home for dinner with my family. We had been dating for a few months and she did show some interest in meeting my parents, brothers and sisters, which I have to admit can be a bit overwhelming even for the best of us. Anyway, we walk into the dinning room together and there was my family. At the time 8 of my brothers and both of my sisters were married, that was 20 people not including my parents. It looked like an arm mess hall, 30 lbs of potatoes, 3 roasts the food was endless. These were the moments I loved. The energy in the room, the conversation. Anyway, I think it took her a minute or two to digest the scene in front of her and then god love her, she just dove right in. At that moment I knew I had found a girl that would be my perfect fit and my family welcomed her with open arms. We continuted to date for many years after that, but unfortunately things just didn't work out.
