General Background:

I grew up in Canada in the great province of Vancouver. My mum and dad raised me and my two sisters, giving everything we would need to have a great life. Although I live near the ski mountains, I never did take a liking to Skiing or snow boarding and even though our winters were hardly anything compared to those of the rest of Canada I decided to move to the states. So as soon as I was out of university; I graduated with a degree in teaching, I was on my way. It was really easy for me because my Mother was born in Washington so I already had a dual citizenship. Why I decided to become a teacher is a bit of an enigma to me. I guess I've always felt as though I could help out youths, especially those in trouble. While going to university I worked night shifts in group homes to pay my way and soon found that I had a knack at gaining the respect of these youngsters.

So off to Washington I went, to stay with some extended family until I could establish a life for myself. I soon found myself working in the local community center and tutoring kids after school. Eventually I opened up my own after school program, funded by the school board, where I tutor a variety of kids but mainly those who are known to be deviant. 

As for the moment this is what I am doing, I really love it! I think I am very lucky to have found something a career that I enjoy, especially one that has allowed me to mortgage a house and have a decent stable income.

What I Look For In A Woman:

Sensuality. Besides the obvious qualities that we all look for like humor, looks and intelligence, I really look for someone who isn't afraid of their sensual side. I like the type of woman who can pull off wearing a bright red dress. Not all woman can do that you know, it takes confidence and charisma to do so. I wouldn't say that I'm an overly mushy and romantic kind of guy but I would love to find someone who spontaneously dance with me in the middle of the street on a rainy night. Like I said sensuality. I like women who aren't repressed or afraid to ask for what they want!

Other than that, I look for someone with a good heart and soul. It's real hard to find a good mix of the two. A lot of woman who have hearts of gold can sometimes be pushovers, only wanting to please their partners. I need a woman who has magically been able to maintain her sense of good in the world while still having a ton of confidence. Maybe I'm asking for too much but I have no doubt that the right girl for me is out there waiting.

Hobbies:

When I was a kid I was pretty geeky and collected things like stamps and rocks. I guess I was always meant to be a teacher! Ha Ha! But seriously I did. As I grew up though I let go of those collections and turned to things of a bit more value like coins. I know what you're thinking... coins?

But I'll have you know some of them are very cool indeed! My favorite coin hat I have at the moment is a 1970's Lincoln Cent. It's worth about 3000$ and I happened to find it at an estate sale where there was a jar of pennies and nickels all of them from the 70's and older.

So besides my coin collecting I also love to read if that can be considered a hobby. I've loved reading since I was a little kid and my mom would read me stories like Narnia. Nowadays I read everything from old English books like Beowulf to modern day books that you can find on most book club lists. I guess I'm a little obsessed with reading and on days off I like nothing more than to go to a park, find a good spot under a tree or on a bench and dive into a good novel.

Favorite Experience:

This is a hard question! My favorite experience would be the night of my graduation from university. Besides marking the start to my real adult life and new beginning, graduation also marked the end of my girlfriend's and mine 4 year relationship. We dated all throughout university but had known almost from the start that our paths were going to go separate ways once we graduated. She was studying biology and wildlife toxicology and got accepted into a program in Australia to study the insects and animals on a small nature reserve island. Not knowing how long she would be there or if she would ever come back we decided our relationship should end on good terms rather than dragging it out to a brutal end. I have to admit it was hard but having known for over a year that this was coming to an end I really think that we both made peace with the idea. Anyways so after the graduation ceremony we went out with some friends for a night on the town. We started off by going to the most expensive restaurant that we could find and dining high end gourmet style. After this our friends and I went out dancing from club to club until eventually we ended up deciding to go to our hotels which we had already booked. I think it must have been 3 or 4 in the morning when we finally made it to our room, but that did not matter. With a bottle of champagne we toasted ourselves. We toasted our great relationship coming to a close as well as the new lives that were on the cusp of beginning. And of course we spent the rest of the night saying goodbye to each other's salty bodies. The night could not have been more perfect. In case you were wondering, we do still talk on the phone a couple of times a year and email each other. She never did come back to Canada and instead married an Australian guy who's really nice. I can't think of a better way for our school days to have ended.
