General Background:

General Background: I come from the city of Vigo in Spain. Far from being a small town, Vigo is one of the largest cities in Spain and is right on the ocean. Both my mother and my father come from fishermen families so as soon as I was old enough to be of some use I started helping my father, brothers and cousins on the boats. It was hard work but it was all that I knew. My mother used to make such great meals for us all when we would come home at the end of the day. I learned to play the guitar from one of my uncles and I picked it up pretty quick because I loved being the center of attention after our supper was over.

At the age of 18 I decided to travel around Spain and would play my guitar anywhere that I could to make some money whether it was on the street or in a café. After two years of travelling I found myself wanting to explore more so I made my way to America to go visit an aunt who had fallen in love and married an American man. She lived in New York and I found myself quickly fitting in with the people there and joining a small band. We now play in bars, cafes and on the streets to earn our living. I think in a couple of years, once I am done with travelling, I would like to go back to Spain, return to our fishing boats and settle down.


What I Look For In A Woman:

Passion. I love a woman who stands up for herself and who enjoys life as much as I do. She must have a sweetness to her that you can almost breathe in but not be afraid to say no to people when she needs to. I have met a lot of sweet girls but they always seem to do whatever you ask of them no matter what. I like being told no once in awhile, it's not good to have someone who agrees with you all the time, life gets boring that way. I also love women who are creative. Either in music, art or just in life in general. They have to know how to let loose and have a good time!



Hobbies:

I don't have that many hobbies really because my hobbies are what I do for a living; travelling and playing music. I do enjoy just sitting down with my guitar in public spaces and watching people walk by. I like to make up little stories about them as I watch them. I love swimming as well and sitting around bonfires with good friends and a couple of bottles of wine.

Favorite Experience:

It is really hard to pick one particular experience as a favorite since I have so many that I hold close to my heart. I think one of my favorites though is when I first came to America and was out in Central Park just playing my guitar and enjoying the sun. This little elderly woman came and sat on a bench close to mine and stayed there for maybe twenty minutes. She came closer and closer and I could tell that she wanted to ask me something but every time I looked at her she would look the other way. Finally she came and sat right next to me and asked me if I could play a song for her. She wanted me to play Love by John Lennon. Always a huge Beatles fan I complied and as we sat there on the bench she whispered the lyrics along with me. I could see that the song meant a lot to her and when it was done she looked at me with glossy eyes, got up and said thank you and then walked away. I'll never forget that little lady.
