General Background:
Having grown up in a place with such a rich history as Lacedonia, I've always had a passion for architecture and history. As a child I remember going into places like The Church of Santa Maria Assunta, commonly called the "Piscilo" - and make believing that I was discovering the ruins of some ancient city. My parents always thought it was a child's game, and that I would eventually get over my passion for all things old - but the flame for history burned bright even through my teenage years. Eventually I decided to leave home and go to school at Howard University in Washington D.C. where I realized my dream of studying that which came before me.  I am still very early in my career, but each new thing I learn sticks to me like glue due to my still growing passion for what I do. I often write home to my family and have even gone back to visit them twice. They tease me about being a "abitante della città" or "City dweller" - but the love of family is not easily dimmed, especially when having a " Tiramisu'" shoved down my throat (a cold dessert my mother loves to make)!

What I Look For In A Woman:

This is a bit of a loaded question! There are many things I look for in a woman, and to be honest it depends on so many variables. If I meet a woman and there is obviously no huge emotional interest from either of us - this doesn't mean we can't have a good time together! I love to enjoy the fruits of life, and while I'm in no way against relationships - I don't turn down some simple fun either! There have been a few women that I have been serious with, and I long for that again. Those women were always strong-willed and independent. I guess I have a short attention span, I get bored of things easily - so a woman that can keep me engaged mentally as well as in other areas of the relationship is the one that is sure to win my heart.



Hobbies:

Digging! I love to dig and find old things. There aren't so many places in the city to do this, but when I travel back home - it's not hard to find old things under the surface. Sometimes it's a shoe, and other times it's a fossilized clam...but every time - my heart swells when I realize that I found that fossilized clam!

Favorite Experience:

Before I moved to Washington D.C. I travelled to Portugal, as for some reason I had always wanted to visit that place. It seemed magical to me, and I heard about the beautiful women that descended from the Moors. I had been staying in a cheap hotel for a few weeks, wandering the local areas and experiencing the different foods and culture - when I happened upon the most amazing woman. This was one of those "no huge emotional interest" moments, but she was one of the most beautiful women I had ever layed my eyes upon. I'm not a shy person, so I asked her if I could perhaps buy her a drink - She said yes...and as soon as she got it she threw it in my face, and showed me the band on her finger. I sincerely apologized to her and said that I envied the man that was lucky enough to have bought her that band. She smiled at me and said "it's a fake - it wards off the jerks, but you seem pretty nice...buy me another drink?" - It sounded like something out of a movie, and while I was somewhat upset about my wet t-shirt, I was thrilled to sit and talk with this firecracker of a woman!
