General Background:

I was born and raised in Ketchum Idaho with both of my parents working in our restaurant. The middle child of three with an older brother and younger sister, I was put to work early on cleaning dishes and washing tables. I guess that's what made me decide to go to culinary school. There's always something so comforting about restaurants for me, I always feel like I am right at home. After school I moved to Washington to continue my education. I became really interested in nutrition and health and started to work out regularly at the local gym. Soon enough I started taking some night courses to become a personal trainer and now I do that part time and work as a sous-chef full time. I have a dream of opening up my own place eventually but to be honest I am really comfortable with what I am doing now. I enjoy the fact that I get to cook but don't have any of the stress of being a head chef and that I have time to work out and help other people in my spare time. The only thing is that since I am so busy in my own life my personal life has gone on the back burner. It's hard to meet women especially when all your time is spent in the back of the restaurant or in a gym. I was thinking of becoming a dietician or nutritionist as well but truth be told I enjoy cooking way too much!

There's something so adrenaline pumping on busy nights in a kitchen and I would miss that terribly. When I think long term, I dream about opening up a restaurant perhaps with my brother, who's still in Idaho but who also still works in my parent's restaurant.


What I Look For In A Woman:

Right now I feel like I don't have anything specific in mind when it comes to my ideal woman.  Being a chef, I would love to find someone who enjoys food as much as I do, but obviously she doesn't need to know how to cook. IT would be nice to find someone who also enjoys outdoor activities or going to the gym. I kind of feel like I need to find someone who has the same lifestyle as me, meaning that I need to find someone who is busy but who also makes time for themselves. It would be so great to be able to share gym time with a girlfriend as well as my other passions in life. Call me idealistic but I would also love to meet someone who can teach me stuff! Like, I would not necessarily want to go out with someone in the resto business, I would rather meet someone who does something entirely different and that way we could both learn from one another.
 
As far as looks go, those have never been one of my top priorities. All I really look for is someone who enjoys life and cares for themselves and their body but not in that narcissistic way. You know what I am talking about, the hot heads who constantly watch themselves in mirrors when they work out and not because they are making sure that their form is right!

Hobbies:

Call me a pansy but I really do love picnics! Maybe it's because going out into a park with a blanket and some great food combines two of my favorite things; food and people watching. Seriously a beautiful day in a park with someone I care about, some tasty treats and maybe a Frisbee, consists of my ideal way to spend a day off. I don't really have any other hobbies unless you call working as a part-time personal trainer a hobby.  I used to do a lot more stuff in my spare time but now a days I am so busy that I don't have time for everything.

One thing I used to really enjoy was going hiking and also going to drive in theaters, not that there are many around anymore. Once in awhile though I'll take a random class. You know you find adds in the newspaper all the time saying " I will trade you a massage lesson for a cooking lesson" or something like that? Well I have taken up plenty of offers like that! It's really fun to meet a new person and to trade skills with them. I've even learned a bit of French by answering one of those adds!

Favorite Experience:

Okay so I have a couple of fond experiences in my head but I'll share one of my ultimate nights with you. I was in culinary school at the time and had this very overpowering crush on one of my fellow students who happened to be a fiery redhead with amazing baking skills. I think she went on to become a pastry maker because she was just so naturally gifted when it came to dealing with chocolate.
 
Anyways after months of trying to work up the courage to ask her out, she finally did it for me and invited me to her place for super. She said something about wanting a professional opinion on a new recipe that she made up. So seven o'clock rolled around and after am anxiety filled day I found myself at her door with a small bouquet of roses and my hands shaking a bit. She answered the door and immediately made me feel at ease, joking and all smiles. Dinner was exceptional. We flirted and drank wine and commented on the meal with such ease that it almost made me feel like we were in a movie playing out parts. After the main course, she brought out chocolate fondue with sliced strawberries, bananas and pineapple. And this is where things got heavy. After two bottles of wine we were both feeling especially carefree and confident and faster than I can explain one thing led to another and we were both on the carper in the living room, chocolate being smeared on different body parts, strawberries teasingly running along our lips. I won't go into detail about everything that went on that night, but I have to say that it could not have been more perfect! The next day was our second to last day of school, and although we had both had such a great time the night before, we knew that we were both going separate ways once the course was done. We had agreed that we should leave it to that night and that if ever fate found us living in the same state then we would try to reignite the fires that we felt that night. All in all it was a perfect ending.
