General Background:

I grew up in Toronto but was born in Manitoba. Thank god my parents moved when I was just a kid, I don't think I would have enjoyed life on the plains all that much! Had a pretty normal childhood and just it by struggling through high school. I decided to take a break after high school, it was supposed to be a year or so, just until I could figure out what I wanted to do. Almost 7 years later I enrolled myself into the business program at Ottawa U. I'm now still in school trying to get my Masters while working as a waiter during evenings and weekends.

What I Look For In A Woman:

Hmm, if we're talking about looks then I have to admit that I fall in love very easily with women who have that sexy hourglass figure! I don't understand why all celebrities strive for an anorexic looking body, I know I'm not the beefiest man out there, but  work really hard at not being too skinny. As for personality, a few words come into mind: funny, humble, active, aspiring and motivated. On my years taking a break from school I went out with a lot of girls who seemed to be going nowhere in life. Not to say that they were bad people, but many of them just had so much potential that they were throwing away. I understand if you don't know what exactly you want to do in life, but I think you should always have some sort of plan for the future. I hold myself to that belief and so I also need a partner who does the same and is motivated to do something with their life rather than work a dead end job and be unhappy.

Hobbies:

Clubbing, going to live Jazz and Reggae shows, Jamming on my trumpet with my friends.

Favorite Experience:

This is just a little snippet memory that I have from when I was on my life hiatus. At one point I was between jobs and partly for fun, and to get some extra cash, a friend and myself would take our instruments out into the park to play for the people walking by. I should add that I got my trumpet as a bribe to pass all of my classes one year in high school.

Anyways it was a beautiful day, or so it seemed. So Jim and I were playing our music watching the business men and students walk by us. Every once in awhile a group would stop and listen and sometimes a few people would even dance to our music. the drummer man from across the park came and joined in on our little improvisation turning us into a mini band. This is what was happening when our beautiful day turned quickly into a rain storm. Instead of running for cover, Jim and I just kept playing. It was kind of nice to be cooled off. There was also the fact that the little group of four hippy looking people who had stopped and decided to dance for us had not left. Instead they kept dancing in the rain while all other onlookers ran away as if the rain was going to melt them.

I can't even describe the feelings that came over me while playing to those dancers in the rain. Both Jim and I looked at each other and smiled.

One of the dancers was this beautiful woman, who had at first appeared to be really well made up. What I mean is that she looked like one of those trendy hippy girls, the ones who takes hours doing their hair and spend hundreds of dollars buying designer clothes made to look like second hand ones. But this girl, she dance beautifully to the music and didn't even bat and eyelid when the rain came pouring down on her. It just made her dance even more passionately. I was mesmerized watching her body sway to the beats. And then the oddest thing happened. The rain stopped as fast as it had come and we all just stopped what we were doing and started to laugh together at our dripping wet clothes. The old drummer man chucked, nodded to us and left. The dancers, including my beautiful mystery girl all took their leave as if by some invisible cue. And Jim and I walked to the closest coffee shop to warm back up. It was by far one of the strangest experiences I have ever had. And I would be lying if I said that I didn't fantasize about her, you know who I mean, many many nights. I never did get her name. It felt like what the seven of us had shared for that little bit of time was beyond words and was meant to be left at that.
