General Background:

I was born and raised in Allegan, a small enough city, that is right in the middle of the Allegan State Game Area. Growing up there meant that I was never bored as a child. My two brothers and I loved to go hiking and fishing with our dad, and, when we were old enough we all got our boating licenses! I've heard people talk about "middle child" issues, but my brothers and I were and always are so close to one another that I'm lucky to have escaped any problems that other middle siblings might have. Although as a family we've always been extremely active and had a lot of fun together, that doesn't mean we were spared the lesson of hard work.

My father would take us hunting whenever the season rolled around and all three of us would be put to work. My mother also thought us in her own way and got us to help her a lot in the garden. All in all, I hope to someday raise my own children much in he same way that my parents raised me!

Presently I own a small boating company that takes tourists around Lake Michigan during the summer. My days are nice and peaceful and always filled with new and interesting people! I play football for fun with some friends in my spare time. In the winter I give skiing lessons as a part time instructor and get to hang out on the slopes a lot with my friends... I couldn't ask for more!


What I Look For In A Woman:

I simply love physical activity and so obviously, I love women who can enjoy having fun in the great outdoors! Generally I look for a woman who loves to have fun and can appreciate nature. Also being able to let loose and be goofy is a must since I'm not know as an overly serious guy!



Hobbies:

I guess that since both boating and skiing are my professions then my main hobby would be hiking. I don't really hunt much anymore but I still feel the need to get out into a forest and be surrounded by that fresh woodsy air. There's just something so peaceful and meditative about hiking all alone on a path you've never gone down before, not knowing what hidden surprise you'll get to see. Of course I would love to share this passion with someone and have company on the hikes!

Favorite Experience:

I think my favorite experience might mean nothing to most people, mainly because it is not necessarily an experience but rather a solitary moment. It's one of the last times that my brothers and I went fishing with our dad and we had managed to catch a few fish for supper. I remember sitting around the table on my parents' back deck and all of us eating our catch along with a salad and some potatoes that our mom had picked from the garden. There was a perfect sunset that left us all silent as we stared at the fiery orange clouds lining the sky and in that one moment I felt utterly at one with everything. It was a perfect day, and I was surrounded by those who I love most. It's something I'll never forget!
