General Background:

I was never one meant for school when I was young and thankfully my parents were understanding yet forceful in making me finish high school. After taking a couple of years off, I finally decided that I wanted to go into sound design and completed my post secondary education. Out of pure luck and a need to explore the world, I traveled Canada and finally ended up staying with an aunt in California. Being half American and half Canadian I decided to try living somewhere warm for once!

I still go home for the holidays, I don't think I'll ever get used to having a green Christmas, it's just not the same without the snow storms.

I manage to get a few jobs as a sound tech for a couple of bars and clubs and finally settled permanently as the resident DJ and sound tech guy at a small club in Los Angeles. I'm not sure how long I will stay here, part of me would really love to worm my way into working for Broadway shows in New York.

What I Look For In A Woman:

I have to say that I have yet to find the mystical 'one' for me. What I do look for though, besides looks, is a girl who is funny and isn't afraid to take chances. Because I'm not sure where life will take me, I guess I am just looking for someone who is as free as I am. I like women who are able to hang out on a limb if that's what their heart is telling them to do. I think too many people fall into being drones and end up wasting away their years in lives that they are perhaps not meant to be in. Woah, okay maybe I just got a little too philosophical there, but in general I like a girl who can dance and can appreciate life.

Hobbies:

Besides mixing music, I have a weakness for Broadway. I would have tried to become an actor except for the fact that I can't act for the life of me, but I do love to go see shows. Some of my friends think I'm a little wimpy because of that but who cares, I just love live entertainment. I guess maybe that's why I chose to work in a club, it's still a form of live music. Besides that one weakness I have to admit that on nights off I like to go out and party at the other clubs. There's nothing like a night of fine dining, good friends, and awesome music to dance to.

Favorite Experience:

I have many favorite experiences, but most of them might be a little too dirty to tell you about! Working at a club you meet a lot of different people and once in awhile I meet a girl that simply takes my breath away. It just so happens that one of my favorite experiences involves such a girl. I wasn't actually working that night but I had gone to my club because they were having a Spanish night, and there's nothing like Latino beats to get my dancing feet going. I remember seeing this girl move her hips in ways that I had thought were only seen in movies like dirty dancing. After awhile of us sneaking glances at each other and flirting with our eyes and small smiles, I managed to work my way around the dance floor until I got close enough to dance with her. I may have been a little drunk that night, since booze and Spanish music go hand in hand because it frees up your spirit and let you go loose but seriously it felt as though our bodies were synched up in some strange way, like our bodies knew just how to dance with each other. After what seemed like hours of our bodies moving in unison, and now with both of us being hot, with beads of sweat running down our backs, I whispered in her ear if she would like to get some air. She said nothing but just smiled at me and grabbed my hand to lead the way. I went up to the bar and got my friend, the bartender, to give me a bottle of wine, grabbed the girl and led her outside.

She told me her name was Rosalie, and other things which I can't really remember. We walked hand in hand down to the beach and sat ourselves down with our bottle of wine. After some time we ended up in the ocean, having taken off most of our clothes, and needless to say things got a little heated despite the coldness of the water. When it was time to go, I walked her back to the bar and called her a cab as she promised me she'd stop by the next night while I was working. I woke up the next morning with the smell of the salt on my body and a soreness in my muscles that lingers as a reminder that you've had a great time the night before. Unfortunately she never did stop by, but I think I prefer it that way. There's nothing but a name which could have been made up and a great night to remember her by and nothing to ruin it.
