I
have never believed that masturbation was bad for a person because if that
were the case I would have gone blind or died a long time ago. I don't think
I'm the only one that would have had reason to fear this either. My friends
and I are pretty open about masturbation with each other. We all know that
we do it, so why hide it? Some of my female friends are a little less enthusiastic
to talk about it, but a few of them admitted that they like to masturbate
every once in a while. I think that almost all women either masturbate or
have at least tried it. In my opinion, there are two types of liars when
it comes to self-ejaculation, those who say they've never tried it and those
who say they've quit. I don t understand why people are so ashamed of it.
If masturbation is so good for you and everyone does it, why is it one of
those topics never talked about? As we get older and learn about masturbation,
we are taught that it is bad. People create myths like the ones I mentioned
earlier. If that doesn't scare you enough not to do it, we are told that
it is immoral or a sin and that you will go to hell for it. I don t ever
remember going to church and hearing the preacher say that in Next Sunday's
sermon we will discuss the 11th commandment: thou shall not masturbate.
Aside from personal religious beliefs,
I have never heard of anyone becoming hurt through the casual practice
of self-ejaculation. There was one incident in which a 40-year-old phone
sex operator claimed that she developed carpal tunnel syndrome in both
hands from masturbating as many as seven times a day. Of course this wasn't
caused by masturbation itself. Carpal tunnel syndrome in her case was
probably caused by lack of vitamins and the constant working of her hands
on her vagina. This would have happened if she did something as ridiculous
as giving her husband a foot massage seven times a day. If her fingers
were starting to hurt when she masturbated, why didn't she just get a
vibrator? There are so many different new ways to learn how to get yourself
off .
There are actually places in which women pay money to learn how to masturbate.
I'm not talking about a sleazy little shack where women are taught how
to touch themselves by some tramp thinking she could make a quick buck
teaching it. In actuality it is very different. Dr. Betty Dodson author
of critically acclaimed books Self Loving and Sex for One is the teacher/guru
of Masturbation 101. Betty, also known as the Mother of Masturbation is
a seventy-year old women that doesn t look a day over fifty. She says,
she owes it all to masturbation . Betty's Bodysex Group , conducted in
the living room of an almost palace like home, is a group of women from
across the country that want to learn some of Betty's secrets on how to
get the best orgasmic experience for themselves, by themselves. The group
starts out by getting naked and getting to know each other personally.
Then they get little mirrors and look at their vaginas and describe what
they see to each other. Betty says that "the idea of the exercise
is to show that there wasn't one "right" way for a women's body
to look". Next, they were given vibrators, but not just any vibrator,
but a Hitachi's "Magic Wand," the Mercedes Benz of electric
lustmates. They are taught to use it in many different ways in order to
achieve an optimal orgasmic experience. They learn to straddle it, ride
it, and many other positions I am not able to describe, due to the fact
that I am not able to do any of them being a man. They are told not to
have an orgasm through the session until after they have learned them
all.
Of course the women get frustrated and want to have one after a couple
of positions, but Betty says that she "teaches gourmet selflove,
not fast food cum sessions" and the women would benefit more by waiting
until the end of the session. After they have tried all of the positions
they are given the rest of their time to come as many times as they please.
Once all of the women are done, they talk about their orgasms. Betty says
that most women she sees come to her classes don't like their bodies and
think that they are incapable of selflove. After Betty's two- day seminar
they leave, more confident with themselves both physically and mentally,
knowing that other women think some of the same things she did. They learn
that all of them are beautiful in their own way and that they no longer
need to be ashamed of their bodies or themselves for (gasp!) masturbating.
