Never try this when your in a rush… ouch! A quick touch up is one thing but complete shaving and detailed maintenance of your bush should be handled with care. Whether you do this alone or with your partner, please use caution. Sharp objects near this area of your body deserve your undivided attention.

You'll need to decide in advance how much pubic hair your going to remove. If your partner is helping you with the job, be clear on what style you've chosen. As with any haircut this can be a little messy so before you begin decide where you will be most comfortable and have easy clean up. I recommend the bathroom, as water is an essential. Use your imagination, try sitting on a towel on your bathroom floor, stand over the toilet or near the sink, sit on the edge of the tub, etc.

That being said, back to the task at hand…

Shaving Essentials

· Scissors - Sharp and small will work best. Trimming your bush first will make it easier to shave. This may or may not be necessary depending on how much hair you are removing.

· Shaving Cream - Stay away from fragrance shaving creams. They may smell pretty but they are more likely to cause skin outbreaks and possible burning sensations. Try a shaving cream that is hypoallergenic and/or for sensitive skin. The same goes for lotion, should you want to apply some after shaving, however I would recommend mild aftershave instead of lotion. If you should start to feel a sting, rinse area immediately.

· Razors or blades - While there are specialty shavers out there I suggest you use whatever type of razor you are most comfortable with. Never share your razor; it's unsanitary. If you're shaving with your partner, buy a set of razors. One for you, one for them.

· Mirror - A medium hand held mirror will work best. You will need to angle the mirror several different ways to view your handy work.

Shaving Procedures

· Trim the excess hair with scissors - If you are removing a lot of hair, you can do this with the hair wet or dry. Cut the hair as short as you can and remove as much as possible. This will make using the razor easier. When you've finished the trim, rinse the area with warm water, take a look with the mirror, see if missed a spot. If so, go at it again. Remember this is a work in process so don't be alarmed at how your bush looks at this point.

· Apply the shaving cream - Imagine the look you want to create and decide what hair you need to remove to achieve your look. Now choose the largest area you're going to shave clean and lather up. You can lather up everything at once or section-by-section, it's up to you and the style you trying to achieve.

· Ready for the razor - Start with the razor flowing in the same direction as the hair growth. Rinse the blade in hot water and repeat, nice and slow. For a closer shave, now move the razor to flow in the opposite direction against the hair growth, once or twice should do it. Then back to the start again for once-over. You can also use your free hand to help tighten your skin for smoother shaving. Simply use the palm of your hand to apply a little pressure to your skin and slide your hand in the opposite direction of the razor flow. Pulling the skin firm may help you define lines.

· Final Review - When you think you've achieved your goal, rinse and get out the mirror again. Like what you see? Remember the different look may take some time to grow on you (pun intended J). If you have a little hair left, use the blow dryer on a very low or cool setting, to see the full results. If completely satisfied, apply your after care products, if applicable. Unsatisfied, start at the top and work it, you'll get there. Worst case, you hate it. Not to worry, your hair will grow back.

· Touch it up - If you want to keep the look you've just created, you'll have to determine your individual maintenance timeframe. It's normal to experience an itching sensation with the hair re-growth. For comfort, you can try a small amount of baby powder or an ointment gel. You'll most likely get used to the re-growth and not even notice after a while.

So there you have it, don't you feel sexy now? You know you look marvelous and your thong never felt better. You can't stop smiling because you have a secret…in the secret place. What more could a women want? Well, you could show it off!
